Kaleigh Duncan

Kaleigh Duncan began her yoga journey back in 2011 when she took her first *real* yoga class. She wasn't sure what to expect after watching countless Jillian Michaels yoga DVDs; but, desperately needing to move her body after quitting her competitive dance team she instantly fell in love with yoga! She never stopped being a student and continuously took classes for the following 5 years until she decided that yoga teacher training was the right path for her. She completed her 200hr YTT with The Yoga Viva School in 2016. She enjoys teaching powerful classes that fluidly mesh yoga and dance that challenge the body, quiet the mind, and enhance the spirit. In her free time you can find Kaleigh at the beach, or out in nature gardening and studying herbs, hooping, reading, traveling, dancing to sweet music, and probably drinking a green smoothie, cold brew coffee, or iced chai tea latte.

You can visit Kaleigh at Pure Zen Center, where they pride themselves in providing a unique and healing environment. Along with Acupuncture, Massage, Meditation, Yoga and an array of workshops they are striving to build a community of like minded folks that want an environment that will feed your senses and your soul.   http://purezencenter.com/

Story Time: Reading of Robin Raven’s Santa’s First Vegan Christmas

Story Time: Reading of Robin Raven’s Santa’s First Vegan Christmas

This year, experience the holidays with a story of love, peace, and compassion! Meet Dana, a forthright and fun-loving reindeer who lives in the Arctic. On Christmas Eve, she meets Santa Claus, who has come looking for reindeer to pull his sleigh. Dana gently opens Santa's eyes to how we can be more kind to animals. Together they take off on a journey around the world, spreading far more than holiday cheer and giving far more than presents. By the time the sun rises on Christmas Day, things will never be the same!

Author and actress Robin Raven grew up in Saraland, Alabama. She holds a BFA from the School of Visual Arts and is now furthering her education. Robin blogs at http://www.robinraven.com/ and loves to connect with readers on social media. She often has her feet on a dance floor or her nose in a book, and delicious vegan food rocks her world.

We will have Robin’s book for sale at the Veggie Kids Zone.

Puppet Show with Katie Adams

Puppet Show with Katie Adams – “Johnny Appleseed”
Johnny Appleseed Puppet Show is a Family Friendly show with Puppetry, Storytelling, and Audience Participation.
Puppeteer and storyteller Katie Adams weaves a heart-warming adaptation of the story of America's beloved folk hero. Puppets crafted like old-fashioned toys, a storyquilt, and traditional music are all part of the show. Each square of the storyquilt starts an episode in the life of Johnny Appleseed, a man who followed his own unique dream and showed respect for all life. 45 minutes.

Katie Adams is a professional puppeteer, storyteller, and teaching artist who shares her creative, animated performance style with audiences at theaters, libraries, schools, festivals and museums. www.katieadamstheater.com

Free Birds

Movie Screening – Free Birds - “A Delightful Treat For The Whole Family”

The basic premise of the film: two turkeys from “opposite sides of the tracks” work together, travel back in time to the first Thanksgiving, and work together to change Thanksgiving as we know it forever.

The mission: “not to save 10 turkeys or even a 100, but all of them.” That’s right, kids, the turkeys in “Free Birds” fight to get turkeys (and thus themselves) off the “turkey day” menu.

91 Minutes.
